LUKÁŠ KUBĚNA

I got into trail riding and enduro racing about 15 years ago, and it’s become an integral part of my life. I’ve completely fallen in love with it, and ever since then, mountain biking has been my favorite activity in the world. I’m confident that after a few lessons together, it will have a special place in your heart too.

Once you’ve mastered a few basic skills and broken any bad habits, a whole new dimension of cycling will open up to you. You’ll never struggle with your bike again—it will become a natural part of you.

Call me Krbi! 🙂

Mountains, hills, little hills, steep slopes, and gentle slopes—and especially riding down them—that’s one of my reasons for living. Add to that the setting of the Ore Mountains, specifically Klínovec, and you’ve got a labor of love. My passion for trail riding began right after the first trails in Klínovec were built, when I started spending all my free time here. This was followed by a long period when the trails—and even the chairlift—took a backseat, and I switched to a racing XC bike, chasing elevation gain in the opposite direction. But now I’m back behind the handlebars of an enduro bike—and right here in my home territory!

We’ll customize your lesson right from the start to match your exact preferences and needs. We can work on the details of the basics, bike control, and stability, or we can set out together—safely and, most importantly, with a smile—to explore our amazing trails.

I look forward to riding with you!

“My dream was to have a mountain bike and fly through the air!”—that’s exactly why you’ll find me right here! I’m an athlete in body, soul, and heart; every outdoor activity is a great activity. It all started with a bike when I was 4 years old, when I first competed in 4X races. At 6, I started training and racing, and it turned out that it wasn’t a bad idea at all—bikes and I were born to be together. I gradually worked my way up to the Czech Cup, a championship title from the Czech XCO Championships, and an overall victory in the Czech MTB Cup. This led me all the way to the European Cup, the European Championships, and even an eleventh-place finish at the World Championships in Nové Město na Moravě in the junior category. I’ve tried almost everything on a bike and have competed in most disciplines, whether it was road, velodrome, various cross-country events, XCO, or enduro. I can’t really imagine life without a bike, so don’t just sit at home—come ride!

I believe that thanks to all my experience—whether from racing, coaching, building trails, or the fact that I’ve probably ridden more on a bike than I’ve walked—I’ll have a lot to offer you. Do you just want to get back into it, need some advice, or want to fly through the air and learn something new every time? I’m ready, and you already know where to find me. 🙂

When others are looking for a café for an espresso, I’m hitting the trails!

FAQ

Who can participate?

The training courses are designed for all riders, from those who want to improve their mountain biking skills on standard terrain to more experienced riders who want to take their skills to the next level when conquering challenging obstacles.

Is there always only one participant in the course?

It’s entirely up to you which type of course you choose. You can choose an individual course for 1 to 2 participants, where you’ll be alone with the instructor or with a partner. Or you can choose from our selection of group camps, which can have up to 6 participants.

Where are the courses held? Do we have to travel somewhere?

Everything takes place in the attractive setting of the Klínovec Trail Park, which offers all the necessary facilities.

What skills do I need?

You don’t have to be a pro, but you do need some experience riding a mountain bike on easier terrain.

How the courses work?

Lessons always begin in an open area and at the skill center. Participants learn the skills of their chosen course, overcome various obstacles, and have their abilities tested. The lesson then moves to the trails, where everyone gets to practice and build on everything they’ve learned in class.

  • They are required to wear a full-face helmet, a spine protector, knee and elbow pads, and gloves for all types of courses.
